our roots

Ruby + Oak Co. is a design company that was created in order to combine efforts between MJ and Daryl to help other businesses grow. The company was established to work on any creative needs a business requires from logos to websites and everything in between including photography, branding, print and web materials.

Our story began with MJ and Daryl meeting while attending college at the New York Institute of Technology in New York City. MJ studied Communication Arts with a focus in Advertising and then went on to get her masters in Italy in Graphic Design. Daryl studied Graphic Design and after his studies he joined the United States Air Force followed by receiving a second degree in Photography. After years of working experience the two decided to join forces and start Ruby + Oak Co.

The name Ruby + Oak Co. comes from the two different styles and personalities of MJ and Daryl. While MJ (aka Ruby) is a refined, city loving artist, Daryl (aka Oak) is an outdoorsy, forest loving, creator. Together they are exceptional at creating all artistic pieces.
